Top Family Car in Cincinnati: 2016 Toyota Sienna

Posted by Jessica McFall on Wed, Aug 17, 2016 @ 16:08 PM

The Toyota Sienna has been a family favorite for several years at Beechmont Toyota, and now it's officially a Top 10 Family Car of the Year by Edmunds.com and Parents Magazine! What makes the Sienna a top family car in Cincinnati? It could be Toyota's dedication to family safety, or maybe the fact that it has all-wheel drive, or maybe it’s the top-of-the-line technology in the Sienna, or all of the above!

Top_Family_Car_in_cincinnati.jpg

The Sienna was chosen as a top family car on a basis of several factors. They took into consideration quality of ride, safety, comfort and capacity, fuel efficiency, kid-friendly features, price and value, reliability, interior and exterior workmanship, visibility, controls and instrumentation, appearance, ergonomics and special features. So, as you can see, it wasn't an easy feat being named a top family car. You really have to have it all to place.

“The endlessly roomy Sienna stands above its competitors for two reasons: It’s the only one with available all-wheel drive, and the especially user-friendly controls help you stay focused on the road,” Parents Magazine writes.

The 2016 Toyota Sienna had parents top-of-mind when designing the Sienna. For instance, the van has four LATCH locations for child seats and a Driver Easy Speak option so you can be hands free when commanding the multi-media system. Carting children around is hard enough, but Toyota aims to make it as easy as possible in the 2016 Sienna.

In addition to those features, the Sienna has a Dual-View Entertainment Center with two 16.4-inch widescreen images for those lengthy road trips that are otherwise drawn out. As you can see, as much as Toyota had the parents in mind, they had the kids in mind, too! Also for road trips, the Sienna has a removable 3rd row seat to add additional cargo space, which could provide an incredible 150 cubic feet of space. There's a plethora of storage spaces, bins and cup holders too, so you'll never worry about spills.

What else makes the case for the Toyota Sienna being named a top family car in Cincinnati? Check it out today by stopping by Beechmont Toyota for a test-drive! Bring the kids, too, we know they'll be just as excited!

2017 Honda Accord vs. 2017 Toyota Camry in Cincinnati

Posted by Jessica McFall on Wed, Aug 3, 2016 @ 17:08 PM

If you keep up with the car market even a little bit, then you know a couple of things. Sedans are one of the hottest selling vehicles in America, and of those sedans, the Camry and Accord have been two of the most popular sedans. They both have very similar traits about them, but if we're being completely honest, one has just more to overall more to offer than the other, and that is the 2017 Toyota Camry in Cincinnati. We're so confident about this that today we invite you to follow along as Beechmont Toyota compares the two top-selling vehicles!

The 2017 Camry is bold on the outside, but doesn't take a risk on the inside. The 2016 Camry received the NHTSA 5-star rating, and although the 2017 hasn't been tested yet, it can only mean one thing – exceptional safety ratings are to come. The Camry comes equipped with not 5, not 6, but 10 airbags for your safety. It even includes a standard knee airbag that the Accord doesn't even have as an option. Other safety features on the Camry include:

  • Pre-Collision System
  • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
  • Star Safety System (Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Smart Stop Technology®(SST).
  • Safety Connect (Toyota's emergency assistance system)
  • Whiplash-Injury-Lessening seats

Another perk of the Camry is the power that it produces. With its 2.5L 4-cyliner engine, the Camry cranks out 268 horsepower. The Accord, on the other hand, has a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, which obviously is less powerful. The 2017 Camry has Electric Power Steering to optimize the already smooth ride. It's not just a sedan, it's really a sport vehicle fueled by the sport handling. In addition to that, the Camry's transmission is powered by a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that allows it to switch gears seamlessly and more efficiently.

Lastly, let's talk about technology! The 2017 Camry has the most advanced technology offerings yet. So many in fact, we'll try to list the most important ones:

  • Dual-zone AC
  • Entune Audio and App Suite
  • Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging (XLE & above)
  • Back up camera
  • Push start button (XLE & above)
  • 60/40 split fold-down rear seat
  • Two 12V auxiliary power outlets
  • Bluetooth
  • Steering wheel controls

Better safety, comfort and style? Yeah, we're on board with the 2017 Toyota Camry in Cincinnati and we hope you are too! Experience the amazing Camry today at Beechmont Toyota, we promise you won't be disappointed!

2017 Fusion vs. 2017 Camry in Cincinnati

Posted by Jessica McFall on Tue, Jul 19, 2016 @ 11:07 AM

It's a great day to buy a new car, and we're glad you found your way to the Beechmont Toyota page to give you some direction in your next new car purchase! One of the more popular car models is the sedan, and their popularity stems from their incredible fuel economy, surprising passenger space and practicality. The 2017 model year cars are no different; in fact, these are the most advanced sedans yet! With that being said, not all of them are made equally. We're here to find out which sedan tops out when it comes to the 2017 Ford Fusion and the 2017 Camry in Cincinnati!

Most important things come first, so let's talk safety. Hindsight is always 20/20, so go ahead and get the top of the line car when it comes to safety features! This means you'll need to go with the 2017 Toyota Camry. The Camry has safety features that the Fusion lacks like Whiplash Injury Lessening Seats, and has overall better safety ratings. In the NHTSA front crash test, the Camry was rated an overall 5-star rating while the Fusion was only rated 4-stars. In addition, the Camry scored an overall "Good" rating in the IIHS 40 MPH small overlap test while the Fusion only scored "Acceptable."

It's not just safety category that the Camry beats the Fusion, the Camry tops out in reliability, too. Consumer Reports predicts that the Camry's reliability will be 34% better than the Fusion. No one wants an unreliable car, that's what you get a new car for in the first place isn't it? J.D. Power ranks Toyota as a brand 3rd overall in reliability, with Ford ranked as 24th. That's a long way from the top if you ask us!

And another aspect of a quality sedan is great gas mileage. The Camry's 4 cylinder engine gets 24 city and 33 highway MPG while the Fusion gets just 21 city and 32 MPG. You'll get farther in the Camry for less money with its fuel efficiency and the fact that it only requires regular unleaded gasoline. The Fusion, you ask? It requires premium gasoline to perform at maximum efficiency. Save money and the environment with the Camry!

So there you have it. The 2016 Camry in Cincinnati stands out when it comes to new cars, really outshining the 2017 Ford Fusion. Want to try the Camry out for yourself? Beechmont Toyota invites you to stop in for a quick test drive! See you soon!

Check out the new 2016 Rav4 Hybrid in Cincinnati

Posted by Jessica McFall on Wed, May 11, 2016 @ 14:05 PM

2016_Rav4_Hybrid_in_Cincinnati.jpg

You may have heard about the 8th addition to Toyota's hybrid lineup – the 2016 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid – but what do you know about it? Hybrid SUVs are becoming more and more prevalent on the road as more people become interested in vehicles that have a standard of being ecofriendly. They're a smart decision for any new car buyer, and Beechmont Toyota is ecstatic to give you all of the cool, innovative details that this hybrid has to offer.

A little background on the Rav4 before we dive into the Hybrid, this 4th generation Rav4 was introduced in 2013 and received a huge facelift. You may have noticed that new Rav4s lack the spare tire seen on previous year models and have a sleeker, sportier look. Toyota added an updated SE model to the Rav4 family as well as the anticipated Hybrid! All of these new 2016 Hybrids (SE and Hybrid) have a new front end and higher hood line. The bumper is less distinct and has the feel of a truck.

The only available trims for the Hybrid are XLE and Limited, which is not a bad deal if you ask us. It comes with all-wheel drive, 150 horsepower and CVT. You're looking at 34 MPG city and 31 MPG highway on the hybrid which is 8 MPG higher than the traditional gasoline-powered model of the Rav4. That's some kind of gas mileage for SUVs! Non-hybrid SUV competitors get around 20 MPG at best. There's also a comprehensive energy monitor included in every hybrid that indicates the operation of the gas engine, electric motor and hybrid battery. This monitor gives you real time information on how power is being used.

It's not just the power and fuel economy that rocks the Hybrid Rav4, it's the features, too. Significant updates in the Rav4 are features like HomeLink, a power moonroof, the smart key system, power driver's memory seat, a Bird's Eye View Camera and Integrated Back Up Camera, just to name a few. All of these features combined were tailored to your convenience and just make driving the Rav4 that much smoother.

We're out of time here, but come see us at Beechmont Toyota today to feel the power and performance of the 2016 Rav4 Hybrid in Cincinnati! You are sure to be impressed. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Cincinnati Sedans: 2016 Corolla vs. 2016 Civic

Posted by Jessica McFall on Mon, Apr 25, 2016 @ 17:04 PM

If you're exploring options for new Cincinnati sedans, you've landed on the right page! Everyone at Beechmont Toyota is excited about all of the options for the 2016 lineup, as they did not disappoint. While you're considering buying a new sedan, we want to give you the 411 on two compact cars that own the road in Cincinnati. Let's see how the 2016 Corolla and 2016 Civic measure up!

Starting with the fun stuff, the Corolla is unbeatable when it comes to features. Car rides will never be dull with the 6-speaker entertainment system that comes standard with a CD player, aux jack, Bluetooth and voice activated controls to top it off. Aside from entertainment, the Corolla has features that also make it a more comfortable ride like the on-board computer, heated exterior mirror, and rear split folding bench seat. Overall, your life will be easier and more fun in the 2016 Corolla than it would be in the 2016 Dart.

Now, although both of these cars are considered "compact," only one fits that description, and that would be the 2016 Dart. The Dart is smaller in length, has a smaller fuel capacity and way less rear legroom. We don't know about you, but just because we're buying compact doesn't mean we want to feel cramped every time we get in the car! The Corolla is 282.6 inches in length, has 41.4 inches of leg room and holds 13.2 gallons of gas. Compact car? Hardly!

Lastly, the Corolla wins in terms of styling. The new Corolla was designed to be more athletic and sporty-looking, breaking away from the look of its predecessor. The wheelbase is lengthier, which allows for more interior space, and it received upgraded LED headlamps. The grille is completely blacked out which mirrors its modern, bold interior. In our opinion, if you looking for the more upgraded, futuristic sedan option, the 2016 Civic is the car for you!

If you were undecided about which one of the many Cincinnati sedans to choose from, we hope this comparison helps you make a decision. We believe the 2016 Corolla is not only a practical choice for a compact car, but the one that has the most to offer! Schedule your test drive today at Beechmont Toyota!
